Please note that all weddings and civil partnerships that we accept are subject to these Conditions and all services that we deliver are provided subject to these Conditions. We hope that you will take the time to read them through carefully. Venue Hire Policy – The Platform 1. Overview a. The Platform is a 2 AA Rosette restaurant offering an exceptional culinary and event experience in an elegant setting. We welcome wedding bookings and private event hires, and we are committing to providing a seamless and memorable day for all guests. 2. Booking and Deposits a. No bookings will be held until a Deposit is paid. b. Deposit: A non-refundable deposit of ……. is required to secure your booking. This will ne deducted from the final invoice. c. Minimum Spend: The Platform does not have a minimum spend for hire. d. Final Payment: Full payment of the balance will be required 30 days before the event. 3. Venue Hire a. Venue Hire Options – We offer a range of venue hire options to suit the size and style of your celebration: i. Carriage Hire: Booking one of our elegant carriages for ceremonies, receptions, or as a private space for wedding parties and other events. ii. Station House: Bookings for carriages can be inclusive of out beautifully restored station house upon request. iii. Exclusive use: Reserve exclusive access to the entire venue, including one or both carriages, the station house, and the platform – these options are perfect for larger weddings or those seeking privacy. b. All hire options include: i. Use of selected space(s) for the agreed duration ii. Full service from our award-winning kitchen and front-of-house teams iii. Set-up and breakdown of the venue iv. Use of in-house furniture, linens, crockery, and glassware v. Dedicated event coordinator support during planning and on the day 4. Food and Beverage a. All catering will be provided in-house by our award-winning kitchen b. Menu tastings are available upon request from confirmed bookings c. No external food or drink is permitted without prior agreement, we reserve the right to charge corkage and plating fees for any external food or drinks. d. Wine and drinks packages are available; corkage fees apply if bringing your own. 5. Timings a. Venue hire: timings are negotiable depending on the individual needs of the party. b. Extensions past midnight incur an additional charge and are subject to licensing. 6. Capacity a. Whole venue Capacity: i. Seated dining capacity: [X guests] ii. Seating dining capacity; [X guests] ii. Standing reception capacity: [X guests] iii. Wedding ceremony: 60 guests 7. Licensing and Regulations a. We operate under Dorset Council regulations. b. Live music and DJs are permitted until 12am, with potential to extend upon request with the acceptance of a temporary extension. c. Smoking is only permitted in designated outdoor areas. 8. Cancellation Policy a. All cancellations must be made in writing. b. Deposits are non-refundable. c. Cancellations within 4 weeks of the event: 50% of the estimated final cost is payable. d. Cancellations within 7 days of the event: 100% of the estimated final cost is payable. 9. Insurance and Liability a. Clients are advised to take out wedding/event insurance. b. The Platform is not liable for loss or damage to personal belongings, c. Any damages caused by guests may incur charges. 10. Additional Services a. In-house wedding coordinator is included in the hire of The Platform b. In-house styling and décor services are included in the hire of The Platform, any external styling and décor services must be pre-agreed. c. The Platform will offer local accommodation recommendations for guests. 11. Cleaning and Damages a. The venue must be left in a reasonable state of cleanliness. If excessive mess is left behind (e.g. broken glass, food waste beyond normal expectations, excessive confetti), an additional cleaning fee of £[amount] will be charged. b. Any damage to the premises, furnishings, or equipment caused by the client or their guests will be invoiced post-event.
